After the “Thanksgiving Handshake” the year before, the 49ers and Lions collided again during the Sunday Night Football game on September 16. The 49ers ended up winning    27 – 19. The 49ers fans were extremely loud and helped their team pull out a tough win!

#5 Stanford held on and defeated #15 Washington 31 – 28. It was an exciting game to be at as Washington had a chance to tie or take the lead before Stanford intercepted the ball.

While visiting my Mom in Indiana, she took me to see the Indiana Pacers vs the Washington Wizards. The Pacers played tough throughout the game and beat the Wizards 93 – 73. The fans cheared extremely loud and supported the Pacers throughout the game! Below is a video I created from the game. Go Pacers!

While visiting my brother, sister-in-law, and mother during Spring Break, we all traveled to St. John’s Church to see where Patrick Henry gave his famous “Give me liberty or give me death” speech. This speech inspired colonists to unite together to take down the British rule and ignite the American Revolution. Besides being the famous landmark for the speech, it was also an area where a few famous people were buried. Two important figures were George Wythe (a signer of the Declaration of Independence), and Elizabeth Arnold Poe, mother of Edgar Allen Poe (a very famous poet).
